Renovation and Addition
The University of Tennessee
Knoxville, Tennessee
The existing 1957 building was gutted and completely renovated. The exterior of the building was restored to its original condition preserving the collegiate gothic architecture that is prevalent on campus. A small two story wing was demolished to make way for a four story addition for the Department of Computer Science, designed as a modern interpretation of the classic gothic style. The landscape design features an open green space separating the complex from the street.
